Dr. Cook received his B.S. Degree in Dairy Husbandry from Penn State University and his V.M.D. Degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1956. Dr. Cook has been in private veterinary practice for 50 plus years. Dr.Cook remains active in local organizations and was an organizer and Chairman for the Harford County Farm Fair for many years.
Dr. Brooks received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1974. He practiced in the Baltimore area for the past 42 years and was the former owner of Fork Veterinary Hospital where he was a solo practitioner including equine, food animal and small animal medicine. Dr. Brooks worked from 2003-2007 with Governor Ehrlich serving the citizens of Maryland as the Deputy Secretary of Agriculture.
Dr. Stevenson is a Bel Air area native. He graduated from Virginia Tech with a B.S. Degree in Biology in 1997. He earned his Doctor of Veterinary from VA-MD Regional College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. His areas of interest include internal medicine, dermatology and dentistry.
Dr. Schmidt received his D.V.M from Purdue University in 1982. He is the former owner of the Oxon Hill Animal Hospital and Clinton Animal Hospital and also has practiced emergency medicine in Maryland, Virginia and New York for several years.
Dr. Trout is a Harford County native, raised in Baldwin, MD where he worked for Ehrdardt Dairy Farms. After graduating in 2008 from Calvert Hall College High School, he attended St. Mary's College of Maryland, where he played varsity baseball and graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Biochemistry and Biology. He earned his DVM in 2016 from VA-MD College of Veterinary Medicine, in Blacksburg,VA. There he spent three years raising Simmental beef cattle, meat and wool sheep, backyard poultry and show pigs. He is pleased to bring both livestock and companion animal experience to Bel Air Veterinary Hospital. Away from the hospital, he enjoys shooting pool and clay targets and spending time with his family, wife, and canine companions, Sadie and Lucy.
Dr. Kelly is from White Hall, MD where she grew up on a horse farm and where she still lives today while raising Show Hunters. She graduated from Towson State University with a BS in Chemistry and Biology. She then earned her VMD from the University of Pennsylvania in 1990. She has been with Bel Air Veterinary Hospital since 1994. Her interests include showing hunters, all outdoor sports and spending time on the farm with her 3 dogs, 1 donkey and 7 horses.
